Apps needed:

• photo editing app like snapseed (free), Vsco or Lightroom

• photo overlay and blending app like photoshop, enlight, Over or canva

Take a photo with a plain light background and dark foreground (black and white works best)

Edit photo using a photo editing app like Lightroom, snapseed or vsco

Make sure your shadows are down, highlights are up and you create a silhouette

Overlay a texture or image using blending modes like “screen” or “lighten”
